The president is afraid of the American people. He knows that, on the legit, it would be hard for him to win.

Mr. President, please don't characterize the strength that I bring to this meeting.

I feel confident that we will win the House. It's very possible we will win the Senate. And, on January 20, Joe Biden will be inaugurated president of the United States.

But we have no reason to think that that will be the case.

The stakes? Oh, our democracy is at stake. That's what is at stake tomorrow.

Mitch McConnell is not a force for good in our country. Whether it's your health, or your vote, the health of our democracy, we have to win this election.

With great patriotism, with great principle, we will protect our democracy in the House. Don't even think about coming to our house on this subject.

The antidote to their poison, the antidote is the vote.

We have to control the virus.

It's only eight days until the election. People are voting now.

They do not intend to control the virus.

This is a very sad day for our country.

The president is afraid of the American people. He wants to put obstacles on participation.

But the fact is -- you described it very well -- from the start, the president has never taken this seriously. And neither has Mitch McConnell.

The antidote to all their poison is just to vote. We have got to heal our country.

We believe, and we are told by economists and the rest that it is the right thing to -- not only the right thing to do, but the best thing to do for our economy is for us to help the neediest first.

Well, just to remind you, last night, the president said go big or go home.

The virus is the cause of it all and yet they don't want to treat the cause.

We want to crush the virus, but we also want to protect our workers as they go to work.

It's a value in our country. And they just do not respect that.

If you go to work and your employer has not taken precautions and you get the virus, you have no recourse.

We want it safer. We want it bigger, we want it better and it will be retroactive. We have to come to agreement.

This is about a pandemic where we are trying to compensate the states for the money that they spent on the pandemic and the revenue that they lost.

It's remarkable. Hearing him laugh there, it was so heartbreaking because it reminded me when we passed the bill when he said, let's take a pause. Let's take a pause. Let the states go bankrupt.
