Nancy Pelosi: “We’ve been promoting that for a long time. I’m glad he finally arrived at it.”

Above all, we have proved what is possible when women have the opportunity to lead.

The impact of women in Congress is measured in the progress we have delivered: better healthcare, greater economic opportunity, stronger protections for our rights and a brighter future for our children.

To our outstanding candidates and tireless grassroots volunteers: you refused to surrender our country’s future, and you have secured the power to change it.

On a personal note, serving alongside women in positions of power has been one of the greatest honors of my public service — and one of its greatest joys.
