Nancy Pelosi: “I congratulate Scott Wiener on his election to the Congress.”

On a personal note, serving alongside women in positions of power has been one of the greatest honors of my public service — and one of its greatest joys.

For nearly four decades, San Franciscans have entrusted me with the privilege of being their voice in the House.

With tremendous personal pride, I congratulate our next Speaker, Hakeem Jeffries.

The impact of women in Congress is measured in the progress we have delivered: better healthcare, greater economic opportunity, stronger protections for our rights and a brighter future for our children.
