When Nydia and I served on the City Council, there were 700,000 people waiting to get into New York City public housing. There are now 200,000 people waiting to get into New York City public housing.

She is able to be the best advocate for small businesses, a distinction in the Congress of the United States of America.

My only addition is that the $2 million is not enough. I would support her in pushing it up to $50 million.

It takes Nydia's leadership to take a bill that has been on the books since 1968, dust it off, put it back to work, and turn it onto a mandate.
