I would just add that we have had vaccine mandates in our country for many years.

I don't know if it's proper for me to ask you, having stated what you've stated, that do you believe that mandating vaccinations throughout our society would help to defeat this coronavirus that we're confronted with, this pandemic?

How do we reconcile that we have so many people who are unvaccinated?

It is just absolutely necessary that they have the staffing, that they have the funding that's needed.

I am always amazed that we have so many entities in L.A. County who are following the advice.

We need to do everything we can to encourage that in every way that we can.

This business of mergers without real community involvement has to stop.

If government acts, we can get rid of this systemic discrimination in so many different ways.

It is long past time to eliminate rules like this.

Paying these landlords is not waste, it is not fraud, and it is not abuse.

There is no question that the funds are not reaching landlords and renters quickly or widely enough.

I am very concerned about data showing that State and local governments have only used 11 percent of the $46.6 billion in emergency rental assistance funds that are available.

I also recognize that evictions increase the spread of COVID, and have the potential to seriously set back our national economic recovery.

I have sounded the alarm about the urgent need for congressional action to avert a massive spike in our national eviction crisis.

I am going to work on this issue until we get the right thing done.
