According to Mr. Westerman, the VA for months ignored his request to convene an administrative investigation board.

I was alarmed to hear from Representative Womack that VA either failed to provide or was slow to provide relevant information to his office.

This is not about taking away an employee's flexibility. Instead, this is about ensuring they are properly protected under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Misclassifying workers is wage theft, whether intentional or not.

As a country, we need to fix this grave injustice.

Every day these brave servicemembers risk their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice should be honored.

Steps must be taken to ensure our veterans do not fall through the cracks of a broken immigration system.

It is my view that no veteran should be deported without a considerable review of their case and their service to our country.

This breakdown has directly resulted in the deportation of veterans who have proudly served our Nation.
