For the nearly three decades I have been in Congress, one of my greatest frustrations has been the absence of a Federal commitment to improve childbirth outcomes.

I just want to point out that in our own country, we are also guilty of child abuse in the workforce.

I think it is also important for the Department of Education to change public attitude about going to a 4-year college versus going to a trade school.

There has never been any movement in either Republican or Democratic-run Congresses to fix the double standard in child labor protections.
