“I might say to the gentleman that testimony was given before our subcommittee on this very deadly disease. I did manage to pronounce its name, as the gentleman from Ohio did so successfully a moment ago. I am not going to try it again. But let me say that he is correct that under this bill the money may be spent to research LAM along with other deadly diseases. In fact the Heart, Lung and Blood Institute has begun research into LAM, and I fully expect that effort to go forward.”
