I certainly believe it is within the mission of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to inform the public about this serious risk, and the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases such as hepatitis. I would encourage the agency to work collaboratively with national voluntary health organizations, which include professional societies and community-based patient groups, to help meet this need.
