This bill is about preventing and responding to domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking. That is why I urge my colleagues to exert courage and stand with victims by supporting this bill.

So, I would like to take a look at middle income countries, that designation, since I believe it excludes so many other countries.

But there is some push here in Congress to actually move back to sanctions, you know, in a much bigger way as opposed to the movement forward toward normalization and relationships.

I am pleased that the Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security is holding our first hearing of this 116th Congress, about our critical duty to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act.
