Julia Brownley: “Rural veterans are older, typically older, sicker than their urban counterparts.”

NOVA thanks Subcommittee on Health Ranking Member Julia Brownley for reintroducing the Department of Veterans Affairs Continuing Professional Education Modernization Act.

We envisioned it to not only as a raise for those who are already maxed out, but as an opportunity for VA to reassess nurse and physician assistants pay across the board.

I do think that there is still more that needs to be done to make sure that we are processing these claims on a timely basis.

I applaud the VA in terms of their strong focus on implementation of the PACT Act, but we can not forget the rest of the VA and all the other missions that we have here.
