Jimmy Varni Panetta is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for California's 20th congressional district since January 3, 2017. A member of the Democratic Party, he has focused on issues such as national security, agriculture, and veterans' affairs during his time in office. Panetta is the son of Leon Panetta, who served as U.S. Secretary of Defense and Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. He has worked to address local concerns in his district, which includes parts of Monterey and Santa Cruz counties.
