This bill is not new. It is an effort that the Chairman has actually been a part of for some 30 years.

As America needs the metals that mining produces, communities like Elko need the jobs that mining produces.

We all acknowledge that there have been irresponsible practices in the past, but those days are long gone in Nevada.

Our community cares about clean air and clean water every bit as much as people in San Francisco or Boston do.
