The Clerk read as follows: Mr. Huffman moves to recommit the bill H.R. 5078 to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure with instructions to report the same back to the House forthwith with the following amendment: At the end of the bill, add the following: SEC. __. PROTECTING THE QUALITY OF WATER FOR PUBLIC WATER SUPPLIES AND AGRICULTURAL USES AND TO MITIGATE AGAINST DROUGHT. Nothing in this Act affects the authority of the Secretary or Administrator to protect the quality of surface water that is available-- (1) for public water supplies, which are a significance source of drinking water for municipalities; (2) for agricultural uses, including irrigation; or (3) to mitigate against the harmful impact of drought.
