I think the expectation is that we are not credentialing--we are not allowing anyone to provide health care to our service members unless we have verified their credentials.

The taxpayers spent more than $50 billion each year on the Military Health System, which provides healthcare services to 9.6 million beneficiaries.

The military has an obligation to communicate with the families and the service member who have been injured or there has been a loss of life.

So, it seems like we should be checking their credentials.

the intention was to recognize that, when you are not in a war zone, when you are at a military medical facility, whether it is in the CONUS or if it is in Europe or if you are on a ship, you should be receiving quality care.

If we say internally in our evaluation of the standard of care is met, then those are the ones that are sent to an external peer review.
