Our naval forces are the best in the world. They provide our Nation with an incredible ability to project power and strength.

I applauded the President's decision to take out Osama bin Laden. However, this tactical success did not end what former CENTCOM Commander General John Abizaid called the long war against Al Qaeda.

From Aleppo in western Syria to Fallujah in central Iraq, Al Qaeda now controls territory that stretches more than 400 miles across the heart of the Middle East.

I am concerned that these reports have grown less compliant with the law, and strayed further from the intent of Congress.
