Let me ask you because I have a limited time.

I am still concerned about the notion that we could successfully use legislation to effectively give FDA the tools it needs to assure patient safety when they use these apps.

Innovation is the future. And I want to keep us on the cutting edge, and we can do that.

I think it is--they are legitimate concerns and I think we need to work through this as we go forward.

I am always open to discussing the matters, but it seems to me there is a threshold question of whether we need legislation at all, and I am not convinced of that.

Mobile medical applications hold incredible promise for patients and health care provider, potentially reducing cost, improving health care delivery, and saving lives.

We are even ahead of what Massachusetts was.

The anecdotal evidence I get is that the site is getting better, slowly but surely

The Republicans are so fixated on hating this law and they want to repeal it. They don't even want to consider helping make it work.

Nobody is happy with this rollout of Healthcare.gov, and the administration has taken its lumps, but aside from lessons learned, it seems to me that my focus ought to be and my concern is getting this thing working.

I hope this hearing will be serious, evenhanded inquiry, but I fear that some of my Republican colleagues may exaggerate security concerns to stoke public fear.

No other industrial country allows such a thing to happen, but that is what Republicans who have opposed this law would have us return to.

The last 6 weeks have been difficult ones for supporters of the Affordable Care Act.

I am pleased we are holding this oversight hearing on the legislation that we passed last year on a bipartisan basis.

The Republicans oppose this law, they fought it every step of the way, they thought that the Court would throw it out.

I want a one-word answer. Is the existing system where nearly 50 million Americans are uninsured a success or a failure?

They didn't come forward with any proposal at all. They even said they want to repeal the Affordable Care Act and replace it.

The Upton bill is the monkey wrench that they are trying to throw in to basically destroy Obamacare.

I called a previous hearing of the committee a monkey court. I will call this the monkey wrench.

I don't believe that there is any interest on the part of the Republicans to fix any of the problems that are occurring with the rollout of the Affordable Care Act.
