I appreciate the Member's comments and agree that suicide, nationally, is an issue, regardless of the situation, and I appreciate his comments that anybody in that situation should be encouraged to reach out. Mr. Chair, I yield back the balance of my time.

In fact, in Orange County in my district, we learned that if there is a one percent under count of low-income students, schools could lose over a quarter million dollars in Federal funding.
I do not think the Green New Deal is the way to do it, but I do think that we have the capacity, the intellectual, technical capacity to address these issues and do it in a way that not only benefits our country but the whole world.
A one percent under count of low-income workers in my district means a loss of approximately $160,000 in Federal funding for job training programs, apprenticeship programs, and career counseling.
We know the current MATS rules protect our most vulnerable: our children, our unborn, and our pregnant moms.
