“Yes, very much so. As a matter of fact, recently one constituent told me, and he was a doctor, that they have been told that they must have something like 15 patient visits a day at 15, 20 minutes apiece. You really cannot provide the kind of care, especially in the specialist area like a heart doctor. To me it just indicates that these people are being put under pressure to move on to the next customer. It is like it is an assembly line. We cannot treat human beings that way. We need to ensure that those doctors and those plans that are not for profit, that we provide them with the assistance that is necessary to be able to render a service and increase their ability to do it at a local level where there is no HMO, even a for-profit. Unfortunately, that is not happening. I think a lot of people are being disheartened.”
