H.R. 3210, authored by the gentleman from Oregon (Mr. Walden), authorizes the Secretary of the Interior, acting through the Bureau of Reclamation, to conduct a water management feasibility study and environmental impact statement to evaluate integrated water resource management and supply needs in the Little Butte/Bear Creek Subbasins near Medford, Oregon. The underlying water management effort is a collaborative Federal/ State/local partnership to improve the health of the subbasins and increase the water-use efficiency of the three local irrigation districts. The studies will be completed in accordance with a memorandum of agreement between the bureau and the city of Medford. Today, Congress has the opportunity to make this collaborative effort come true for these Oregon watersheds. I urge adoption of the bill.
