Let's talk about subpoenas for just one second because two of your last speakers are 750-plus days in defiance of a subpoena. Get real when Mr. Jordan and Mr. Biggs come to this floor and want to talk and get all righteous about subpoenas…

This is the person who you all chose to hang out with this morning, delaying the original start time of our hearing, because rather than getting work done for people who need us to work, you chose a felon over helping families.

Are you kidding me? Donald Trump is complaining about bias in his case, and he is on trial for stealing national security documents with a judge that he appointed?

Just a show of hands for anyone in the room who hung out with a felon today. Hey guys, probably want to get your hands up.

Now, having a former President found guilty of criminal conduct is a sad day for our Nation.

Four hundred and eight straight times they said the word 'guilty.'

Hey, guys, might want to get your hands up. You were hanging out with convicted felon Donald Trump. I don't think anyone on our side did. That's why we are here.

Now, let's, let's transfer or fast forward to another trial that took place recently. The President's son Hunter Biden tried to plead. Was not able to do that.

They don't seem to understand that they were elected to serve their constituents, not the disgraced, twice impeached, and now convicted leader of the party.

After that jury of his peers, his neighbors, deliberated they had to make 34 decisions. Twelve jurors, 34 decisions.

Unfortunately, these attacks on the very foundations of our government to prop up the former President have become the norm for their party.

Over and over again this Congress we have seen House Republicans set aside congressional work--the people's business--to do the former President's bidding.

I don't view this hearing as a shaming of any particular company but, rather, an opportunity to learn from mistakes in the past.

If Donald Trump, as the jury unanimously found, covered up 2016 conduct of a pattern that we saw again in 2020, and we see him limbering up for in 2024, then he deserves to be found guilty.

Maybe they should be listening more to you and your strategies, Mr. Bienvenue.

You don't like how women make decisions about their bodies, and so you're banning abortions. You don't like how families make decisions to get pregnant, so you're banning IVF.

I don't understand why we're here, because for the longest time, as long as I've been alive, and I'm the son of two Republicans so I've heard this in my household a lot, you're the party of free markets.

I take great comfort in knowing that nothing my Republican colleagues say about you here will change the thoughtfulness and decency that mark your leadership of the Department.

If you claim you back the blue, but want to defund the police when the police go to your nominee's house to retrieve national security secrets, you might be in a cult.

To the extent that my colleagues on the other side and Mr. Trump are arguing that somehow, he is suffering more, he is some kind of martyr in this context, I think it is ridiculous.

If you are supporting a guy whose felony convictions prevent him from getting a security clearance, you might be in a cult.

A jury can't hold it against Donald Trump that he did not testify in his own defense in New York, but he promised everyone else in the country that he would.

He lost the 60 cases plus in courts across the country that rejected his arguments about election fraud.

I think it is time that he be held accountable.

We have an entire generation that's growing up thinking that their elected officials don't even care to protect them.
