One of the problems we have as defenders is we don't talk to each other enough, right? The bad guys are actually working together.
I want to go on record for saying that we, as Members of Congress, have been engaged in a task force.
I think that this is something that Congress should do, not the administration unilaterally.
I think it's seriously time for Congress to consider outlawing ransomware payments.
I think that's one part we have to get right is to make sure you don't have kind-of two classes of kids, the class that learns AI and the class that doesn't have the resources.
As we close out the year, I want to thank the Chairman for what I think has been a pretty productive year on this subcommittee as we've taken on a lot of the challenges in this realm.
It is not always good for Congress to say me, me, me. I'm here to regulate and not ensure that we have the right road map to go forward.
I once again urge my colleagues to reject any proposal that would slash CISA's budget in fiscal year 2024.
