Thank you again, Chairman Garbarino, Ranking Member Swalwell, and Members of the subcommittee for your attention to these important bipartisan issues.

I would like to congratulate my friend from New York, Mr. Garbarino, on becoming Chairman of the subcommittee.

I plan to introduce legislation to clarify the activities of the JCDC to improve on its successes and increase its impact.

I am very disgusted by that remark.

I always thought Republicans were, you know, the self-proclaimed protector of free markets, but here, they seem to have a problem that a free-market society that has banks would say we don't want to bank with a certain individual.

Most of us live in the great big center where we think that we can protect our kids and protect the Second Amendment.

Most Americans believe that you should be able to own a firearm to protect yourself, that you should be able to own a firearm to take your kids hunting, and that you should be able to own a firearm to go to a range and shoot for sport.

They don't stand up for the officers who protected us at the Capitol that day, and certainly by bringing witnesses here today that say, 'fuck the cops,' we know that that is exactly where they stand.

I am a little surprised, especially growing up in a Republican family, that my colleagues have abandoned the position I have long known them to hold, which is to defend and protect the police.

I want to thank the activists who have stayed in this fight for reasonable gun safety, and thank you for showing up today.

We haven't heard one shred of evidence that any parents were unlawfully targeted by the Department of Justice, but we did hear a lot about Mar-a-Lago.

Not responding to a Congressional subpoena is a direct purpose of evasion.

I think it's quite rich that we are talking about subpoena compliance under a Chair of the Full Committee who was absolutely out of subpoena compliance in the last Congress.

I think China has blood on its hands for the fentanyl crisis because, as a number of people have said, overwhelmingly these fentanyl is coming through points of entry and overwhelmingly it is U.S. citizens.

This is chaos, what I am seeing from my Republican colleagues.

I wish we could get a vote on that in the House.
