As a parent of four and as someone who is a product of the city school system in Los Angeles, I am a strong supporter of public education. But one of the comments that she made was that these people were not participants in the decisionmaking process. I would submit to her that there were 40,000 adults that came to this country last year, illegally to this country, and received Pell grants that cost this country $70 billion. That was a decision they made, not their parents.
