What steps is your Department taking to ensure that a stable supply of helium... is restored?

Well, this is World War III for me. I cannot let the state burn and knowing that positions that we passed are not being filled.

I think it's very important in order to build trust and to solve problems.

I do want to note that the SOFIA program has made several key discoveries during its life.

I am concerned that scientists who have relied on SOFIA do not have sufficient time to close out their research.

I appreciate the Administration recognizing California's unique authority under the Clean Air Act, which grants my state, and the 16 other states that follow us, the authority to set ambitious emission standards.

I am really very worried because California is extraordinarily dry, and fire is a real enemy.

You indicated your focus would be on communities most at risk.

I really don't know what we can do to give you the resources to put up those--the ability to stop big massive fire in our state.

We have got to hire enough people to handle what is going to happen with global warming.

My understanding is that the west has become a real problem for fire.

No one has raised those concerns to her directly.

I meet regularly with leaders, I’m not isolated, I see people, my attendance is good, I put in the hours. We represent a huge state, so I’m rather puzzled by all of this.

What I really want to ascertain is what kind of a judge you will be. What will be the principles you hold dear and how will you function in this capacity?

One of the things that I'm concerned about is that the public perception of the Supreme Court has turned increasingly negative.

The right to be notified, to be present, to be heard among others.

So we have come a very long way since then, though still not far enough.

The Court is considering a woman's fundamental right to control her own body and make her own healthcare decisions.
