Before I close, I want to reiterate that the bill is the most effective way for Congress to carry out oversight of intelligence activities. This bill forces the executive branch to remain responsive to congressional direction and priorities. As the recent terrorist attacks in Paris show, our enemies are rapidly improving their ability to launch deadly strikes against the United States and our allies. Given these elevated threat levels, it is crucial that our intelligence professionals receive the resources they need to keep Americans safe. This bill will authorize those resources while ensuring full congressional oversight of the intelligence community. I urge my colleagues to vote for the bill. In closing, Mr. Speaker, I want to again thank Mr. Schiff for his congeniality and all of his staff's work and our staff's work on our side. Mr. Speaker, I urge passage of the bill. I yield back the balance of my time.
