As I read the Constitution, we are here because it says in Article 1 Section 8 that Congress has the power to promote the progress of science and useful arts by securing for limited times to authors and inventors the exclusive right to their respected writings and discoveries.

I have observed with concern the American public, who appears to have lost some considerable faith with the present state of our politics and governance.
