The greatest protection for our civil liberties and against their invasion was the construct of government that we set up.

I believe we are safer today because of DHS, even with all the warts and the shortcomings that we have.

I would argue that under the Constitution it is not.

I do think it did cross a Rubicon and certainly serves as a harbinger of what we are going to be looking to in the future.
