I appreciate the concerns. I wish my colleague from California was worried about the civil liberties of the people that are stopped by Federal agents, 70, 100 miles from the border, having their cars searched and being reviewed basically because Federal agents are now in our neighborhoods stopping all Americans. Frankly, if someone is going to stop and take a look at the immigration status, I think there is a level of comfort that, if we are going to have Federal agents doing it, it is not an intrusion on the community to allow, not to mandate but to allow local government to do the same.
