We have had a similar issue in Arizona, where migrants have been released in very small communities, sometimes even in communities that do not have a bus stop or any way for folks to get their own transportation.

I absolutely agree with you that that prolonged period between the time that they cross and they time of their court date is against all of our shared goals.

The concept of offering safety to immigrants is deeply embedded in our culture as a representation of our best natures.

Restrictive immigration policies and militarization of our border do not change migrants' needs or desires to seek safety in the United States.

If all we do is welcome the stranger with kindness and with compassion, 10 years from now, 20 years from now, 30 years from now they are still going to be coming.

I would definitely advocate for adding more immigration judges, increasing the docket size, and making sure also that there is more access to the types of legal resources that help the asylum seekers understand that process.

Right now our nation confronts a crisis at our Southwest Border.

Chair Sinema, we would support extending the mask Federal mandate, please.

I think it's so important. We're about to discuss with our colleagues infrastructure investment on many fronts.

I'm pleased to Chair this subcommittee and to partner with Ranking Member Cruz on aviation issues just as we did in the 116th Congress.

Meeting these demands are critical to ensuring that veterans receive the care and support they have earned.

Procurements are a critical part of the VA enterprise, whether it be for goods like medical supplies or services such as compensation and pension exams or facilities upgrades.

I continue to be very concerned about veterans who are targeted by scammers.

I support H.R.1, I'm all for that. I'm like, show me your 10 senators, then.

I think it is critically important that any part of a formal review like that should have stakeholder engagement.

Given the significant increase in the number of families and unaccompanied minors coming to our border, there is a critical need in my State of Arizona for Federal resources and personnel to manage the challenge, protect our communities…

I would urge you to make sure that communities such as Phoenix, that utilize these programs, are brought to the table early and often.

I believe that any such debate should include humanitarian crisis, such as the migrant crisis we are facing in Arizona and along our border.

As Arizona's senior Senator and Chair of the Subcommittee on Government Operations and Border Management, it is important that I closely examine the management and effectiveness of Federal programs.
