It takes all of us working together to be able to address some of these, and something that is really unique in Gov. Hobbs’ approach is that she has sort of this open door policy with tribal leaders.

The very first thing she did the morning of her inauguration was to have breakfast with tribal leaders.

I look forward to continuing to work hand in hand with Tribes to deliver the opportunity, security and freedom that are fundamental to the Arizona Promise.

I am proud to be the first Arizona Governor to visit all 22 Tribes in the state.

Tribal partnerships are a pillar of my administration and proactive engagement with Tribal Nations is a priority.

We have seen what happens when these types of [voucher] programs lack accountability, transparency, and oversight.

Only citizens vote in Arizona elections. That’s the law and we’ll continue to enforce it.

I will not spend state funds to keep Grand Canyon National Park open.

The federal government chose to manage that fire as a controlled burn during the driest, hottest part of the Arizona summer.

They must first take aggressive action to end the wildfire and prevent further damage.

An incident of this magnitude demands intense oversight and scrutiny into the federal government’s emergency response.

I am calling on the federal government for a comprehensive and independent investigation into the management of the fire and a report detailing the decisions that led to this devastating outcome.

But Arizonans deserve answers for how this fire was allowed to decimate the Grand Canyon National Park.

I am incredibly saddened by the destruction of the historic Grand Canyon Lodge.

Protestors to remain peaceful and calm as they exercise their First Amendment right to make their voices heard.

Residents are being evacuated and are advised to stay out of the area. I'm thinking of all those affected and am deeply grateful for our brave firefighters.

The team at (the Department of Forestry and Fire Management) is actively engaged with local and federal partners responding to a fire near Greer in Apache County that has already destroyed multiple structures.

While Gov. Hobbs supports securing the border, she has been clear in her opposition to inhumane immigration enforcement practices.

I look forward to continued partnership on our shared border security priorities.
