I appreciate everything the President has done to try to mitigate this crisis, not only a security crisis to our Nation, but also a humanitarian crisis for the migrants themselves.

Wouldn't you say that it is actually the cartels that are encouraging these people to travel thousands of miles to exploit our loose immigration laws and asylum laws?

I know that there is a crisis. Everybody in Arizona, everybody in the Nation, it seems, knows there is a crisis at the border.

It is of concern to move TSA employees to the border, even though they did so voluntarily, is my understanding.

What I have heard today from, I think, all of the panelists is that there is obviously a retention issue. Pay is one of the key factors.

The TSA workforce has a demanding job and is truly the most important part of the agency.

TSA continues to struggle to provide consistent recruitment, retention, and training at Federalized airports across the United States.

I mean, some people, I think, might be denying it, but it is right in front of our eyes. This is a humanitarian crisis and a security crisis.

I remember Secretary Nielsen, right here in this committee room, saying how 11-year-old girls are being tested, pregnancy tests. I think 3 out of every--or 1 out of every 3 women is being raped.

This is a security crisis and a humanitarian crisis.

I think we need not only--we needed the funding for the border fence, because I think it is part of the solution, not the entire solution, but we need to change the laws.

I am just actually a little surprised that some of my colleagues would...take away that and replace it with a one-size-fits-all government-run plan.

I would hope that we would work on something that is actually going to pass.

We are going through the Rules Committee, first of all.

I have heard loud and clear from people consistently they do not want their taxes going to pay for free healthcare for illegal immigrants.

I just find that unacceptable. It is not based on choice. It is government-run mandated healthcare.

I think it is important to note that all of us, no matter what side of the aisle we are on, want to improve healthcare.

I know they do because they came to me when I was in the State legislature.

I think both parties need to work on together.

There is not going to be anybody happy about paying their taxes for free healthcare for illegal immigrants.

Most people in the United States are not going to voluntarily want to be paying for illegal immigrants' free healthcare.
