Mark Pryor is an American politician who served as a United States Senator from Arkansas from 2003 to 2015. A member of the Democratic Party, he focused on issues such as healthcare, education, and infrastructure during his tenure. Pryor was known for his moderate stance and worked across party lines on various legislative initiatives. He was re-elected in 2008 but lost his bid for a third term in 2014, marking the end of his Senate career.
All politicians are squeamish when it comes to cutting defense spending. That is politically a dangerous thing to do.
That is a very valid point because the Department of Defense does so much contracting.
Before the lawsuit, the court determined that FEMA was not following due process, whatever that might mean in this circumstance.
I am very proud of the American military, and our search and rescue folks, and the various other experts that we have been sending over there to try to help them in their time of need.
Mr. Chodos, is there a redundancy between the two agencies in terms of trying to help victims of disasters?
if FEMA does not have the right controls in place it almost encourage fraud, or you are going to see a higher incidence of it.
Is anybody analyzing how much it costs the government to try to recoup this money?
