How are economic factors, such as extreme market volatility, and record inflation impacting your fiscal year 2023 Budget Request?
I appreciate the focus and the attention that has been made to this field house or this fitness facility.
The physical fitness center gets directly to soldier resiliency, as well as fitness, and the ability to be ready.
Unfortunately, this trend doesn't seem to be changing as this year's request remains only 1.5 percent of the total DOD budget.
I was pleasantly surprised to see this year's budget request at $12.2 billion, which is an increase over last year's request of $9.8 billion.
Another challenge is the impact of inflation and supply chain issues on the construction market, and the corresponding increased cost of projects.
I would like you to, for the record, provide to this committee the reason why it is your number one unfunded priority?
