Dodd-Frank was intended to add more transparency and oversight to the financial markets and to ensure that another financial crisis, a meltdown if you will, doesn't happen again.

We must continue to make sure that we hone and refine and clarify any provisions that may be unintended consequences of such regulation.

Dodd-Frank was intended to provide more transparency and oversight to our financial markets and to ensure that another financial crisis and meltdown does not occur.

DTCC strongly supports this legislation, which represents the only viable solution to the unintended consequences of indemnification.

I understand fully the implications of the unintended consequences with respect to especially the indemnification provisions that are currently being required by Dodd-Frank.
