Mike Dennis Rogers is a former U.S. Representative for Alabama's 3rd congressional district, serving from 2003 to 2015. A member of the Republican Party, Rogers held various influential positions in Congress, including Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. During his tenure, he focused on national security and intelligence issues, advocating for policies to strengthen the military and enhance oversight of intelligence operations.

I think anybody--a reasonable person would agree that before we agree to negotiate further reductions, the party should be in compliance with existing treaties.
In fact, to the contrary, they have said flatly they have no interest in doing anything beyond New START.
The Rudman Report explained that this term, 'semi-autonomous,' would mean that the agency would be 'strictly segregated from the rest of the department.'
The panel believes lasting improvements are possible, but they will demand strong and sustained leadership and proactive support from Congress, the White House, and engaged Departmental Secretaries.
