I’m hopeful this legislation sends a clear message to the administration that we want to continue this strong partnership by alleviating the effects of these tariffs on our small businesses.
If you're a Democrat, you're looking at it and you say, 'Why? Why am I going to try to be helpful if Mr. Vought at OMB is just going to do a back-door move and rescind what we've been working on?'
I know that in many parts of the country, there are Americans who are not going to be advantaged by this bill.
