I look at the War Powers Resolution, and it’s not ambiguous. It requires the president to terminate hostilities within 60 days absent congressional authorization.
The country needs an Attorney General who will check the worst impulses of this administration. I hope Mr. Blanche is able to achieve that, if confirmed, but I simply do not have confidence that will be the case.
This is more good news for King Cove and all who care about the health, safety, and wellbeing of the hundreds of people who live there.
It doesn’t appear to me that it puts us in that much of a different position than prior to the beginning of the war.
