I will make a few remarks on the status of the energy bill. As we know, our President earlier stated one of his priorities was Congress should pass an energy bill. The House of Representatives has done its job. It passed a bill. The bill has been sent over to the Senate. We have been to conference, and had a number of meetings associated with the items in that bill. Many of those items are contentious. On the other hand, that is what a conference is all about: Solving, compromising, whether it is electricity or renewable portfolio standards, climate change, producing more oil from my State of Alaska by opening up ANWR, or whether it is stimulating the agricultural industry and the farm industry of this State through the ethanol. We need a substantial mandate to increase the use of ethanol. It is important to recognize one specific offer that was made. That I will go into some detail. It reflects as much of an inconsistency regarding our dependence on imported oil and an opportunity we have in the United States to develop a significant potential of oil on U.S. land known as ANWR.
