I don’t think that somebody who has counseled other attorneys that you should ignore the law, you should reject the law — I don’t think that that individual should be placed in a lifetime seat on the bench.
We do not have a perfect bill by any stretch of the imagination. My hope is that the House is going to look at this and recognize that we’re not there yet.
[L]et’s not kid ourselves. ... While we have worked to improve the present bill for Alaska, it is not good enough for the rest of our nation — and we all know it.
