I will be supporting this bill today because it is a good bill. I take great pride in that because it probably created about 185,000 new jobs, $286 billion to be spent for the infrastructure and for the economy of this great Nation. I say beware. It will be a terrible disaster for this great Nation of ours. We have other ideas about solving the high gas prices, but that is probably the worst I have heard of all.

I believe the councils can actually manage the fish better than a centralized political figure.
We have learned firsthand that resource development and protection of the environment are not mutually exclusive goals.
But the big thing is, it doesn't do any good to get on the board or the council if they don't have the authority.
Although I have long supported the goal of fighting IUU fishing in foreign fisheries and leveling the playing field for U.S. seafood producers, SIMP is not up to the task. This program should be reformed, not expanded.
