He served as the Alaska Command Commander. That is the subcomponent command under INDOPACOM and NORTHCOM for Alaska--a three-star General in charge of all forces in Alaska. So I know him. He is an exceptional patriot and so deserving of this promotion. And, by the way, it has nothing to do with the policy dispute that we actually agree on, all my colleagues here. We think what Secretary Austin did to light this fire was not helpful at all. The civilian military leadership over at the Pentagon--that is where I do agree with my colleague from Alabama.…”
