I am deeply concerned about the reports of health problems afflicting a number of our Persian Gulf veterans.

Let us demonstrate, in a special way, our respect and concern for those former service members who are hospitalized or disabled.

Well, I've met with many of our sons and daughters who fought in the Gulf, and they are the heroes of Desert Storm.

The young men and women we've welcomed home from the Gulf return to a Nation far different than the one they left.

Care for homeless veterans is a high priority in VA.

This increase will allow the Department to provide quality care to all eligible veterans expected to apply on a system-wide basis.

A veteran has some special qualities that make him particularly qualified for a job.

This country owes a debt of gratitude to 29 million living American veterans who fought for this country in World War I, in World War II, in Korea and Vietnam.

It is good business to hire veterans, and particularly those who have taken the advantage of education.

Each year we set aside a special day to salute our veterans--to pay our tribute to the millions of quiet, undemanding heroes who have served so that other generations might be spared war's anguish and destruction.
