Veterans

Today, I have signed into law H.R. 2528, the 'Military Quality of Life and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Act, 2006.'

America must never forget their courage, and we will not stop searching until we have accounted for every soldier and sailor and airman and marine missing in the line of duty.

The American flag is a special mark of pride and dignity to America's veterans.

I signed the National Cemetery Expansion Act of 2003 to honor veterans with a hallowed, final resting place.

Treating veterans with military disabilities, lower incomes, and special needs has always been VA's core health care mission.

We are the guarantors of the rights of returning service members under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act.

Our veterans have borne the costs of America's wars and have stood watch over America's peace.

Every veteran can be certain: The Nation you served and the people you defended are grateful.

The willingness of America's veterans to sacrifice for our country has earned them our lasting gratitude.

Our Nation has made a commitment that we will not rest until we've achieved the fullest possible accounting for our lost veterans.

We are committed to keep at it until we bring every possible fallen hero home.

We can never repay them or their families, but we can honor them, and not just with words but with action.

Today I honor these Chinese-American veterans of World War II and their service and steadfast loyalty to this country.

I am pleased that H.R. 2684 provides $19.8 billion for the medical care of our Nation's veterans.

This Act will fund vital housing, community development, environmental, disaster assistance, veterans, space, and science programs.

I hereby proclaim July 27, 1998, as National Korean War Veterans Armistice Day.

I call upon all Americans to observe this day with appropriate ceremonies and activities that honor and give thanks to our distinguished Korean War veterans.
