SNAP is the leading anti-hunger program in the nation. And according to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, the program reduces food insecurity by 30 percent.

We obviously are very interested in making sure it doesn't happen again.

I am just saying that to plan this effectively, we need to address these issues that are real.

I do hope that we can move further on this issue.

if you authorize it, if Congress creates the opportunity for this, we will be more than happy to utilize that program.

We commend the USDA for proposing a strong rule and urge you to prioritize the finalization and publication of the rule.
