Optimism

I think the future belongs to us.

It is a great country, but I think we can do better.

I have tried to be a little bit on the, let's say, cautionary side rather than on the optimistic.

I hope that everything will work out so that you can all stay together and have a wonderful time.

I hope it will be favorable.

We hope it is going to work.

Whatever our individual circumstances or opportunities—we are all in it, and our spirit is good.

I can say that on the whole it is getting on very well, but that is not terribly exciting.

It is going to be a long war, and there is no reason for being overoptimistic one week and over pessimistic the next week.

Victory is certain in the long days to come.
