Optimism

I have no fear for the future for America.

I have no fear for the future of this country.

I have no fear whatsoever for this country, for America the future is a friend.

The signs are hopeful.

Let me say, when I hear 'Four More Years' this is my goal and I hope it is yours: Let's make the next 4 years the best 4 years in America's history.

Keep your faith in the future.

And we look forward to many happy returns.

I believe that we will have a good year.

May that past be only prologue to richer years yet to come.

I believe that in the lifetime of men now living, the human race will emerge into the sunlit uplands of peace and freedom.

This is a very good time, I think, to be a young man.

I see it as a blessing.

I am happy that it seems to be on the way to a favorable solution.

I am going to leave with Roy now in just a moment and I won't be seeing you any more, but I am coming back to these wonderful, happy, smiling faces, and this dry air and this fine sunshine because it is good and it invigorates you.

And no man had more vision, more courage, more optimism, more faith, or did more to help build modern America than Robert S. Kerr.

I believe we will do very well in 1964.

My feeling is that this is a great country, but I think it can be a greater country.
