I share many of the concerns that have been discussed here about TikTok but I see the sanctions package here as overly broad and undercooked.

This should be a bipartisan bill Mr. Ranking Member.

Let me be clear on this. I believe concerns about TikTok by the United States government and our allies are justified.

Based on our conversations, I was really expecting your legislation to focus more narrowly on TikTok rather that the entire Chinese economy.

This appears to be a, maybe the broadest sanction and position I've ever seen and maybe ever imposed in history.
