I hereby prohibit any transaction or dealing by United States persons or within the United States in property or interests in property of the persons designated in or pursuant to this order.

I hereby order blocked all property and interests in property that are or hereafter come within the United States.

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, and in order to enhance the quality and effectiveness of security in and protection of buildings and facilities in the United States occupied by Federal employees for nonmilitary activities, it is hereby ordered as follows:

I issued Executive Order No. 12957 to declare a national emergency with respect to Iran.

I was pleased to sign an Executive order creating the President's Advisory Commission and White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans.

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America and in order to amend Executive Order No. 12898, it is hereby ordered that section 1-103(e) of that order is amended by deleting the phrase 'Within 12 months of the date of this order,' and inserting the phrase 'By March 24, 1995,' in lieu thereof

any transaction or dealing by United States persons or within the United States in property or interests in property of the persons designated in or pursuant to this order is prohibited

the making of donations of the type specified by United States persons to persons designated in or pursuant to this order would seriously impair my ability to deal with the national emergency declared in this order

I have signed an Executive order adopting these Standards.

This new order consolidates the functions of two existing Executive orders.

Executive order on declassification of selected records within the National Archives of the United States.

This order shall take effect at 11:59 p.m. eastern daylight time on May 21, 1994.

The new Executive order is necessary to implement certain provisions of United Nations Security Council Resolution 917.

Executive Order No. 12582 is revoked and shall be treated as void, effective February 2, 1987.
