Elections

We are up early and up late, and we are not going to slumber or rest until November 8, when the Democrats are given the lead.

I believe this country can do better by its retired citizens - and we can start in November by retiring Mr. Nixon.

I do not run as a candidate who says that party labels are unimportant.

I don't mind running against Mr. Nixon, but I have good enough sense not to run against the Green Bay Packers.

This is a contest between two parties.

This State can go Democratic in November.

Please vote, that is all, please vote.

I do believe that we must continuously watch the whole proposition of putting money into political campaigns.

It carried Colorado, if I remember correctly.

Everything that is necessary to make the Democrats win will be discussed.

Regardless of who runs.

Bit by bit in recent years we have carried out a policy, agreed upon with our allies, of building up a freely elected German government, and returning to the German people an increasing degree of control over their affairs.

I will be in Independence, casting my vote.

So long as we have it, we are sure that the farmers know which side their bread is buttered on, and they will still be with us as they were in this last election.

Democrats are those people who support the Democratic platform, which is the law of the Democratic Party, and should support that platform after they are elected just the same as they did beforehand in making promises.

I ask that employers- all over the country—will so arrange the work day, that they and all their employees can go to the polls and that there will be no deductions in pay for reasonable time necessarily taken to vote.

I have no wish to be a candidate again.

The seeds of fear cannot bear fruit in the polling booth.
